Position Description and Requirements
Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of brown stock production including chip reclaim and truck dump operations. This includes safety, environmental, process operation, cost saving, maintenance, capital, training, annual outage and repair day planning, and managing hourly employees, by engaging the workforce through breakthrough teams and techniques and use of TQ and DM tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering, pulp and paper technology, or related field, and a minimum of three years of industry experience required. Must be motivated, a strong leader, self-starter, able to work with little direction, make sound decisions, work effectively with, and get results through others. Fosters an environment of teamwork and gains commitment as a team to achieve the department’s goals. Must be able to effectively manage multiple, urgent issues simultaneously. Must possess good interpersonal, oral and written communication, along with organizational and planning skills. Demonstrated success with elements of manufacturing excellence a plus. Experience with Kraft pulping operations a plus.
