E&I Superintendent
RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
Provides direction and leadership to insure the maintenance, repair, and installation of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment and facilities meet department and mill objectives. Develop and implement plans to ensure safe work practices and a safe work environment for maintenance personnel. Ensure effective and efficient utilization of electrical and instrument maintenance personnel. Provide input to the weekly and shutdown planning processes to ensure manpower assignments are cost effective. Develop, implement, improve, and monitor the preventive maintenance program to reduce unscheduled downtime. Support the operating departments by providing input to shutdown scheduling and long-term equipment decisions to ensure maximum uptime. Plan and schedule planning and scheduling support for maintenance coordinators. Arrange for outside services as required to meet department goals.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
BS degree in engineering with 12 – 15 years maintenance experience and 8 - 10 years supervisory experience in maintenance planning and scheduling. Pulp and paper experience and a working knowledge of MicroSoft applications is desired. Must have a strong working knowledge of financial and other key maintenance functions, excellent written and verbal communications skills and proven ability to execute.
