Position Description and Requirements
Description Primary emphasis for this position will be rotating and/or fixed equipment reliability, maintainability, and repair. May also include other disciplines as required. - Develop reliability engineering programs and/or practices to achieve and/or surpass maintenance departmental KPI's. - Advise and confer with engineers to derive reliability findings and recommendations. - Review engineering specifications and design modification proposals to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements. - Observe conduct of tests at supplier, plant, or field locations to evaluate reliability factors such as design and repair of unit failures. - Analyze/create preventive maintenance procedures and/or practices to ensure validity, efficiency and maximum production equipment uptime. - Generate, modify, or delete maintenance strategies based on RCM methodologies. - Participate, facilitate, and review Root Cause Analyses. - Develop equipment repair procedures and specifications necessary to improve plant and equipment reliability. - Ensure cost effective bill of materials are established and in use within the existing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP) - Coordinate with maintenance, production and storeroom personnel to establish and maintain the proper stocking levels of parts and equipment required to provide maximum equipment uptime at the lowest possible costs. - Manage the predictive maintenance program for the facility to include: Thermal Scanning (IR), Ultrasonic, Oil Analysis and Vibration Monitoring to ensure compliance with registration certifications and established standards. - Provide leadership and demonstrate Critical Behaviors to direct reports in order to maintain high efficiency within the maintenance team and promote professional development. - Partner with environmental engineering to ensure Best Maintenance Practices are utilized in order to facilitate an environmentally safe facility. - Participate with interdepartmental staff at all levels of the organization, to create, obtain and support optimal maintenance practices and programs. - Develop, document, and implement the Mechanical Integrity Program, as well as other Maintenance policies and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university. Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. Company recognizes Institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. 3+ years experience working in a reliability engineering capacity Experience working on Root Cause Analysis Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent computer skills to include CMMS software, manufacturing software, spreadsheets and word processing software. Must possess the ability to work independently and deliver projects/tasks on time and within budget. Must be team oriented and be able to lead and direct members of the maintenance team.
